Clearly, the answer is meta teams as they have become more affordable now than at any other time this season.
Here are the top 3 builds by sales count with an average price over >$10
And as reference for potential leaderboard rewards as players buy meta Axies - current rewards are:
Rank 5000 to 10000: $16
Top 1000 to 5000: $20
Top 500 to 1000: $81
Top 200 to 500: $190
Top 100 to 200: $813
Top 50 to 100: $1626
3rd: $16,267
2nd: $24,401
1st: $48,800
This beast started selling during the beginning of the season for $450.
On 11/1 - the price was $73
11/7 - $65
11/8 - $58
11/9 - $47
This cutie used to sell for $230 at the beginning of October. Nov 1 it was available for $43. Price has continued coming down as breeders liquidate their farms.
Nov 7: 29 sold - $35
Nov 8: 21 sold - $32
Nov 9: 5 sold - $24
This feisty fish full of functional curse cards experienced similar trends starting at $75 in early Oct. Nov 1 it was available for $30. Price has found a floor at around $23-24.
Nov 7: 13 sold - $24
Nov 8: 16 sold - $24
Nov 9: 3 sold - $23
As an interesting aside, these three buggers all sold for over $450 during the past three days
So in closing, when you are purchasing a team to move up the leaderboard this next week, make sure to weigh the rewards vs prices. You'll need to reach top 1000 by spending less than $81 to be +ROI. If you can reach top 500, $190 is the breakeven.
For those not financially motivated, can you really put a price on the smiles and happiness when you crush your opponents and fly up the rankings? That may be priceless.
